Splashing Waves and Elusive Catches: A Scuba 14 bs Fishing Adventure

It was a beautiful day out on the water with Soundarya for our Scuba 14 bs trip. January is a great time for fishing here in the Kaveri River Basin, as the weather tends to be mild and the fish are actively feeding. When Soundarya and I met up in Tampa that morning, the skies were partly cloudy, making for a comfortable day on the river.

Though we didn't manage to land any big catches, we still had a wonderful time out on the water, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and each other's company. I showed Soundarya a few different fishing techniques, like casting from the shore and using live bait. She was a quick learner and even managed to get a few nibbles, though the fish just weren't cooperating that day. But that didn't dampen our spirits—we took it all in stride and focused on soaking up the tranquil atmosphere.

At one point, the skies opened up and we got a bit of late afternoon rain, but we didn't let that stop us. We rigged up our rain gear and kept on fishing, laughing about how unpredictable the weather can be. In the end, while we may not have filled our cooler, we walked away with memories of a relaxing day spent in nature, connecting over our shared love of the outdoors.
